Practical & Strategic Collaboration

About
I help organizations build Enterprise 2.0 strategies so they can successfully implement social business and collaboration systems for their employees, partners, and customers.
I have more than 10 years of experience in software and web design, development, and analysis. My experiences include project management, architecture, graphics design, user experience and server-side development (including PHP, ASP, .NET, TSQL, XML), and BizTalk.
Currently, I work for Booz Allen Hamilton in the collaboration capability working with federal and commercial clients analyzing existing portal and collaboration solutions to aid in future enhancements of these organizational tools.
I switched from software development to business analysis while working for Telligent, a major player in the social business and collaboration space. While at Telligent I customized their software in the professional services organization based on client needs before moving to the sales department where my focus became aligning customer needs with software capabilities.
When not behind my desk I work hard to make the social happen: I lead the cross-discipline collaboration networking group which aims to bring people from different technologies (Drupal, Jive, SharePoint, Telligent, etc) and focuses (business vs media including Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube) together to create unified client solutions. I coordinate the Booz Allen SharePoint User Group scheduling 1-4 meetings per month where employees can share ideas and learn the latest technologies and third party solutions associated with Microsoft SharePoint. I also co-manage the TEDx Community within Booz Allen, helping to create interest and share ideas that align with the TED principles.
At home I have the support and love of my wife, an educator with over a decade experience who is currently an adjunct professor with Northern Virginia Community College, and our two dogs and three cats.
