Hmmm – this has “vits & mins” … sounds healthy.
It’s basically a deconstructed muffin. I don’t mean deconstructed because my two year old daughter tore it apart instead of eating the $4 muffin we just bought her at Starbucks; or the deconstructed lasagna my sister suggested I make because … well … who doesn’t love lasagna in half the time? I mean the “I’m a creative cook and having fun with your tastebuds” decunstruction: the ceasar not-so-salad; the potato salada-tower; the white wine … wait what?
This is going to be 140 calories of semi-dried raspberry cranberries, coconut shavings, amaretti drops, and almond slices. Should be good.
First of all, I’ve never seen a coconut shaving like this. It’s like sheets of neatly-torn paper. Big, for coconut; some as big as a quarter.
Second, that’s a LOT of almond.
I digress. I ate it. It was … interesting. You definitely want a semi-equal amount of each item as you go. The crunch balls of muffin were tasty and with the right amount of cranberry, coconut, and almond it really worked. I tasted the muffin. But that only happened once. Throughout the entire thing it felt like chewing on shredded paper, albeit with good flavor.
Oh, and those raspberry cranberries … nothing near the taste of the strawberry and raspberry infused dried cranberries from yesterday. I’m still drooling over those!
Would I pick this up in the store? Only in real muffin form. Would I eat it if Graze sent it again? Yes, but I’m going to attempt to keep it from getting back in the order.
I was unimpressed. Too bad.
