🚀 Reflections from the AI-ML User Group: Microsoft Copilot Session
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of presenting at the AI-ML User Group session focused on Microsoft Copilot! The audience was absolutely electric. From the moment we kicked off (a few minutes late due to … traffic … sorry about that), the room was buzzing with curiosity, enthusiasm, and a genuine hunger to dive deep into the world of Copilot-powered productivity.
I came prepared with a script – 30 demo items about M365 Copilot – but the lively Q&A meant we only got through about half of it. It was awesome. The questions ranged from practical use cases to security considerations, and the dialogue was rich, challenging, and incredibly rewarding.
This kind of engagement is exactly why I love doing these sessions. It’s not just about sharing knowledge—it’s about sparking conversations, learning from each other, and building a community around innovation.
🎥 Featured Video: 30 Lines about 365 Copilots
This session was based on one I presented at the M365 DC Build Watching Party earlier this spring – inspired by a light night prep session during which 88 Lines about 44 Women by The Nails was playing.
For Build I had 30 minutes to say everything I liked about M365 Copilot – an unenviable task. The song got me thinking about how to demo, very quickly, small bites of Copilot capabilities. Here’s how the conversation with my demo prep partner, M365 Copilot, went down:
- I asked Copilot what it thought the top 30 features of itself were to demo in a rapid fire demo.
- We negotiated about my favorites and decided on the 30 features to showcase.
- I asked it to turn that into lyrics for a song, providing it The Nails’ synth-driven electronic beat as inspiration
- I jumped over to Suno, an AI-powered song writer, for Suno I requested a song, again using The Nails as inspiration, using the exact lyrics Copilot had already written.
- We again negotiated some – ok, conversed – as I wanted a little more spoken word a little less singing, and BAM! M365 Copilot, Suno, and I had borrowed from a classic to create this masterpiece:
